The radler was invented for cyclists. The story goes that a Bavarian innkeeper in the 1920s found himself facing a few thousand thirsty bike riders and nowhere near enough beer, so he cut what he had with lemon soda and sent them on their way happy. A century later it's still the most refreshing thing you can drink outdoors.
So we're pouring them. Thursday, August 27, open to close, bright, citrusy, and about half the strength of the beer they started as, which makes them a genuinely good idea on a warm afternoon by the river.
And because now we know where this drink comes from: pedal your way in, show us your helmet, and we'll take $2 off.
You don't have to drive to get here. Ride the trail, roll through the park, and coast in. Leashed dogs welcome, as always.
